Cream-filled Cupcakes

Ingredients

- 18 1/4 ounces chocolate cake mix
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 350 for shiny metal or glass pan or 325 for dark or nonstick pan.
- 2 beat cake mix, water, oil, and 3 eggs in large bowl on low speed 30 seconds, then on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. set aside.
- 3 in a separate bowl, cream together cream cheese and sugar.
- 4 add egg and salt and mix well.
- 5 fold in chocolate chips.
- 6 fill paper-lined muffin tins 1/2 full with batter.
- 7 drop 1 rounded teaspoon cream filling on each cupcake.
- 8 bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
