Ingredients
- 1 lb dried garbanzo beans, sorted for debris
- 8 cups vegetable stock
- 1/2 yellow onion, skin and all
- 1 bay leaf
Recipe
- 1 combine all ingredients.
- 2 bring to a boil.
- 3 stir and cover.
- 4 reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 2 hours.
- 5 remove onion and bay leaf, drain (you may reserve cooking liquid if your recipe calls for it).
