Cranberry-almond Squash

Total Time: 2 hrs Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 4 cups squash, cooked and mashed
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 (16 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

Recipe

  • 1 combine squash, 2 t butter, salt and spices.
  • 2 place in 2 quart buttered baking dish.
  • 3 stir cranberries and spoon over squash.
  • 4 combine almonds, brown sugar and butter.
  • 5 sprinkle over cranberries.
  • 6 bake uncovered 350 for 1 hour or until browned and bubbly.
