Bacon Fried Carrots

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs carrots
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon accent seasoning
  • 8 slices bacon

Recipe

  • 1 peel carrots, cut in half and slice lengthwise.
  • 2 chop onion into small pieces.
  • 3 cook bacon until crisp; remove and blot.
  • 4 using all the bacon grease, add carrots, onions and seasonings.
  • 5 mix well and cook covered on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
  • 6 cook uncovered about 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 7 stir occasionally.
  • 8 crumble bacon and add to carrots.
