Ingredients

- 2 cups pearl onions, drained
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- pepper
- 1 dash nutmeg
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- 2 add flour and stir until well blended.
- 3 add milk gradually.
- 4 reduce heat to low and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture has thickened.
- 5 drain onions and add to sauce.
- 6 season with pepper and nutmeg.
- 7 serve hot.
