Chicken And Fresh Vegetable Chowder

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 quart chicken stock
  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken, cubed
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrot
  • 1/2 cup chopped zucchini
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3/4 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 combine all ingredients except milk and cornstarch in slow cooker. cover and cook on low 6-8 hours.
  • 2 turn heat to high and cook 10 minutes; stir in combined milk and cornstarch, stirring 2-3 minutes. discard bay leaf; season to taste with salt and pepper.
