Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 3/4 cup cornmeal
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 egg whites or 1 egg, beaten
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400°f.
- 2 grease well 8 or 9" pan pan.
- 3 combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt and mix well.
- 4 stir in the milk, vegetable oil, and egg. mix just until the dough is moistened.
- 5 pour the batter into the pan.
- 6 bake 20-25 minutes, or until golden-brown.
