Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin, ground
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 3 cups red lentils
- 1 kombu seaweed, strip
- 12 cups water
- salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons cilantro
- lemon slice, to garnish
Recipe
- 1 saute onion, cinnamon& cumin in oil in a stockpot until the onion is translucent, about 2 minutes.
- 2 stir in the lentils, kombu& water.
- 3 bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover& simmer for 1 hour.
- 4 season to taste& garnish with cilantro& lemon slices.
