Corn Chowder

Total Time: 3 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 cups corn
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups onions, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Recipe

  • 1 rinse corn and combine with broth in saucepan; bring to boil.
  • 2 remove to heat and allow to stand for 2 hours, then cook for 45 minutes.
  • 3 cook bacon in skillet until crisp. drain.
  • 4 cook onion in drippings. add to corn mixture and simmer 5 minutes.
  • 5 add milk, sugar, and salt; sprinkle with bacon.
