Creamy Tomato Soup

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 78 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 5 1/4 cups chicken stock
- 3 sprigs fresh oregano
- 1/2 cup half-and-half cream
- salt & pepper
Recipe
- 1 melt butter.
- 2 chop onion and garlic add to butter.
- 3 saute for approximately 6 minutes.
- 4 add tomatoes, stock and oregano bring to a boi. reduce heat.
- 5 and simmer gently until thickened about 45 minutes.
- 6 remove oregano springs.
- 7 slowly add half & half stirring constantly.
- 8 season with salt & pepper.
- 9 garnish with oregano.
- 10 serve.
