Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 frying chicken, cut up into pieces
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 lemon, juice of
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon salt (opt. as soy sauce is salty)
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- flour, for dipping chicken in
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large chopped onion
- 1 cup boiling water
- cooked rice
Recipe
- 1 put chicken pieces into a deep bowl.
- 2 mix together soy sauce, lemon juice and seasonings. pour over chicken and let stand for at least 1/2 hour in the refrigerator, turning occasionally to marinate.
- 3 lift chicken from liquid and reserve.
- 4 roll chicken in flour and brown in hot oil.
- 5 put chicken, onions and water into casserole dish.
- 6 pour reserved liquid over chicken.
- 7 cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until chicken is tender.
- 8 serve over hot rice.
