Delicious Lentils And Brown Rice

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried lentils
  • 1/2 cup brown rice, uncooked
  • 14 ounces vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon braggs liquid aminos

Recipe

  • 1 sautee onion and garlic in oil.
  • 2 add lentils, rice, broth, water, and pepper sauce.
  • 3 heat to boiling; reduce heat. cover and simmer about 50 minutes, adding water if necessary, until rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
