Aunt Sylvia's Brownies

Ingredients

• Servings: 24
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup cocoa
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 1 cup vegetable oil
• 1/2 cup cold water
• 4 eggs, lightly beaten
• 3/4 cup walnuts, chopped
• chocolate frosting (optional)

Recipe

• 1 combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
• 2 pour into a 9 x 13 pan.
• 3 bake at 325 f until edges begin to pull away from the pan and toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean (about 25-30 min).
• 4 cool completely. ice with frosting, if desired. cut into squares.
