Company Lamb Chops

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 center-cut lamb loin chops
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 place oil in saute pan, brown lamb chops over medium heat.
  • 2 remove chops from pan.
  • 3 add onions, and saute 'til translucent.
  • 4 add broth and seasoning.
  • 5 return lamb chops to pan, cover and simmer over low heat for 30 - 40 minutes (depending on thickness of lamb chops).
  • 6 do not allow the pan to go dry, add water/broth if needed.
  • 7 remove lamb chops to serving platter. mix sour cream with pan juices and heat. do not boil.
  • 8 pour the gravy over the lamb chops and serve!
