Chocolate Cake

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large tbsps cocoa
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 put sugar and flour into a large mixing bowl.
  • 3 heat melted margarine and oil almost to the boiling point.
  • 4 then add cocoa and water mixing well.
  • 5 add this mixture into the sugar/flour mixture.
  • 6 add the last 5 ingredients then mix well.
  • 7 pour into a 11x15 sheet cake pan.
  • 8 bake 25 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
  • 9 cool, frost and serve.
  • 10 for frosting:.
  • 11 melt butter, then add all other ingredients, mix well.
  • 12 for frosting omit the cocoa powder.
