Baked Spinach Dip Loaf

Total Time: 1 hr 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup low-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 5 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons dill weed
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 loaf sourdough bread, unsliced round

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 beat cream cheese and mayo together in mixing bowl.
  • 3 stir in next nine remaining ingredients.
  • 4 cut a slice off top of bread; set aside.
  • 5 carefully hollow out bottom, leaving a 1/2 inch shell.
  • 6 cube removed bread and set aside.
  • 7 fill the shell with spinach dip; replace top.
  • 8 wrap in heavy-duty foil; place on baking sheet.
  • 9 bake for 75 - 90 minutes or until dip is heated through.
  • 10 open foil carefully.
  • 11 serve warm with bread cubes and vegetables.
