Chocolate Heath Bar Muffins

Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 heath candy bars, crushed (or 1 package toffee bits)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400*f.
- 2 grease the bottoms only of 12 standard-size muffin cups, or line with paper liners.
- 3 in a large bowl, beat together the milk, oil and egg.
- 4 whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt; add to milk mixture just until combined.
- 5 do not overmix.
- 6 gently fold in the heath bars.
- 7 spoon batter into the prepared muffin tins--the cups will be full; bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick tests out clean.
- 8 immediately remove muffins from the tins; serve warm, or cool completely.
